SCREENS.tv is a new web site from Screen Media magazine, the UK's premiere magazine for the out of home screen media industry.

The SCREENS.tv site is built around a flexible categorisation system, allowing complex searches to be performed and a high degree of personalisation for the user.

There is an integrated blogging engine and a simple yet effective workflow management system for the editorial team.

British Independent Film Awards

The British Independent Film Awards is one of the highlights of the UK entertainment calendar and Compelling Minds is excited to be working with the organisation for its 10th anniversary year.

We were briefed to develop a web site that was exciting to look at, yet packed full of information about the awards, the films and the people involved.

Backed by the extremely easy-to-use Compelling CMS, the new BIFA web site not only provides great value for the BIFA team, but provides fantastic efficiency savings with the administration of the awards.

Electronics World

Electronics World is the longest established magazine in the electronics industry, with a history of over 80 years. The editorial is widely respected, presenting ideas to innovate and improve products, covering the latest developments, applications, design technology, research, software, in-depth features and more.

Amazingly Electronics World has never had an online presence...until now. Compelling Minds worked with publishers, Saint John Patrick to produce a news and product information based site than gives enthusiasts access to years of archived information. 

Hotel Spec

Hotel Spec is the worlds most comprehensive information source serving Hotel Designers, Operators, Specifiers, and Suppliers to the hospitality industry.

Developed as a sophisticated search tool, Hotel Spec Online provides hospitality professionals with detailed information on the people, projects, companies, brands and manufacturers that shape the international hospitality market place.

A natural extension to the internationally recognised publication Hotel Spec - the web site enables users to search by individuals, projects, companies, brands, operators & products and links you directly to them. 

Hotel Spec also includes a fully integrated vertical search engine courtesy of Google Coop.

European Communications

European Communications magazine has been online since 1999, but until now it has suffered from being shoehorned into inflexible content management systems with limited functionality.

Compelling Minds has taken the product by the scruff of the neck and made sure that every single ounce of benefit is squeezed from the enormous back catalogue of content.

We've focussed on making sure that the content is search engine friendly and fully accessible to search engine spiders with all content fully interelated. EuroComms is finally going to see the traffic levels that it deserves.

Mobile Europe

Saint John Patrick Publishers (SJP), one of the UK's fastest growing business to business media companies, has re-launched its Mobile Europe web site with the help of Compelling Minds.

SJP recently acquired the license to publish Mobile Europe from Nexus Business Media and quickly decided that a complete redevelopment was essential to the future success of the web site.

The brand new Mobile Europe web site boasts a stunning new design, lightning fast search engine and an archive of content going back over several years. It uses a flexible tagging system for categorising content to ensure that visitors can easily see related stories. A search cloud allows them to discover what other users are searching for and what the hot topics are. Readers can contribute too, with the ability to comment on any article on the web site.

MobileEurope.co.uk has reset the bar for B2B web site functionality and usability.

Smart Phone Reviewer

Smart Phone Reviewer is the latest addition to the Compelling Network stable of technology web sites developed and managed in-house at Compelling Minds.

Here at Compelling Minds we often try out some of our ideas on our own projects first so that our clients can be sure that when a piece of functionality goes live on their web site it has been tested thoroughly not only from a technical point of view, but also with the most critical audience of all - the general public.

Smart Phone Reviewer demonstrates a great database driven tagging system that serves two main purposes.

From the user point of view you can instantly see the context of an article and quickly jump to related content. As a publisher tags allow you to quickly and easily multiply the amount of pages on your site with keyword rich content which, putting it simply means more traffic.

Bletchingley Village

Desperate to use their existing web site to engage residents and visitors, but hamstrung by rapidly increasing maintenance costs, Bletchingley Parish Council turned to Compelling Minds.

Bletchingley has been online for several years with a mix of news and local information, but the ageing web site was becoming increasingly difficult and costly to keep up to date. Now, thanks to Compelling Minds, the Surrey village has a brand new online home which allows members of the community to effectively inform each other of local activities and events, while handing full control of content over to the Parish Council.

There is a vastly improved news and events section, pages dedicated to local groups and clubs, such as the Neighbourhood Watch, as well as detailed information about the Parish Council. There is also a local business directory.
