Thousand of broadcasts from around the world available through one radio
WiFi Radio market set to explode . New web site helps shoppers understand more about the exciting new medium of WiFi Radio
A whole world of radio is now at your fingertips thanks to the arrival of WiFi Radio. Helping to make sense of this exciting new range of consumer electronics devices is WiFi Radio Review, the new web site from the publishers of DVD Recorder World.
The exact number of radio stations broadcasting online is unknown, but there are several thousand. Until now listeners needed an internet-enabled PC to be able to enjoy these broadcasts, but manufacturers are starting to realise the potential of standalone 'radios' that you can take anywhere within range of your WiFi transmitter.
Also known as 'internet radios' WiFi radios, like their DAB counterparts, are usually stylish-looking devices.
WiFi Radio Review takes an independent look at this exciting new radio medium covering not only the latest news, but also collating reviews from around the internet so you can find them all in one place.
"It's a popular format," says Jay Neill, director of publishers, Compelling Minds. "Shoppers looking for news and buying information about niche products don't want to wade through mountains of irrelevant search results. We've been helping them out for years with DVD Recorder World. Now we are doing the same with WiFi radio"
"There's no doubt that WiFi radio is about to boom in the same way that DAB digital radio did a couple of years ago," says Jay. "With wireless networks becoming more and more common, we'll soon be talking about landmark sales of WiFi radios as well."
WiFi Radio Review is now available at www.wifiradioreview.com
